Membership Information

Document Actions
Information regarding who is eligible for membership in the GOCC, the different types of membership available and procedures to follow to request membership.

Information about how eligible entities can participate in the GOCC can be accessed in the Documentation section of the GOCC web site. The FAQs and the Operating Agreement document should answer most of your questions about membership in the collaborative. There is code available for downloading to the general public which is available to all without logging in subject to the Terms of Use posted on the site. There may also be code that is only available to government entities. In order to access this code you need to be either a Member or an Observer. Observers can only download code. Members can both upload (donate) and download code. Both Members and Observers get log-in access to the site.

Entities eligible to become a Member or an Observer of the GOCC include Government entities, defined as a federal, state or local government, an authority or other sub-national public sector entity of the United States as well as private non-profit U.S. academic institutions. To become a Member, you need to agree to and sign, through an authorized representative, the Operating Agreement that is posted in the Documentation section of the site. To become an Observer you need to forward your name, title, email address and phone number (optional) to membership@gocc.gov. You will then be added to the GOCC listserv and be issued a User ID and password to access the GOCC web site. Through the listserv you will receive notices of our conference calls and be able to participate in GOCC discussions.
